Direct Data Entry (DDE):

Using the Orbit® DDE, providers can enter and submit the claims on-line. This easy-to-use claim submissions form is an exact replica of the industry standard HCFA 1500 form. Once the data for a patient is entered, it is stored in database for further submission by Orbit® Exchange and processing by the Payer. After a HCFA 1500 is filled and submitted for a patient for the first time, the patient’s data is stored in the database.

When a new claim form needs to be submitted for the same (existing) patient, the patient lookup features saves time by allowing the provider’s office to search for the patient by first name, last name and bringing up the patient demographic data from the database. The provider office has option to make any changes to the data if applicable.

All the standard fields required on the form are available as lookups for ease of filling out the form.
